This Cookie Policy explains how Ares Online S.R.L., trading as Shadow Pages (“Shadow Pages,” “we”), uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on go.shadowpages.ai. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and our Do Not Sell or Share form for U.S. opt-out requests.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Cookies let the site remember your actions and preferences (e.g., login state, language, region) over time. We also use similar technologies such as pixels, local storage, web beacons, and SDKs, referred to collectively here as “cookies.”
2. Legal framework & consent
Our use of cookies is governed by the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC, as transposed in Romania by Law no. 506/2004on the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic-communications sector, and (for personal data processed via cookies) by the EU GDPR. In the UK, our use of cookies is governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR). For U.S. residents, the CCPA/CPRA and equivalent state laws apply to the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information through advertising cookies.
Consent. Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent because they are essential to provide a service you have requested. All other cookies (preferences, analytics, advertising/marketing) are set only after you provide explicit, freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous opt-in consent through our cookie banner. You can withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie-settings trigger in the footer of every page, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal.
3. Cookie categories
We use the following four explicit categories of cookies:
3.1 Strictly necessary
Required for the Site to function (e.g., security, load balancing, session state, recording your cookie choices). These cannot be disabled.
3.2 Preferences
Remember choices such as theme or language. Disabling them may reduce functionality but will not break the Site.
3.3 Analytics
Help us understand how visitors use the Site (pages viewed, navigation paths, performance). Set only after explicit consent in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland.
3.4 Advertising / Marketing
Used to measure ad performance, attribute conversions, and (where applicable) show relevant ads on third-party platforms. Set only after explicit consent. These are the cookies that may trigger “sale” or “sharing” under U.S. state privacy laws; opt out at /do-not-sell.
4. Inventory of cookies
The list below is indicative and may change as we update the Site. The current set in use is always available in your browser’s developer tools and in the cookie banner.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| __cf_bm | Cloudflare | Strictly necessary | Bot management; protects the Site from automated abuse. | 30 minutes |

5. How to manage cookies
In our banner. When you first visit the Site, a consent banner lets you accept, reject, or fine-tune non-essential cookies. You can re-open your preferences at any time using the cookie-settings trigger in the footer of every page. Changes take effect immediately for that browser and device.
In your browser. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Helpful guides:
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break parts of the Site.
6. Interest-based advertising opt-outs (DAA / NAI)
If you reside in a jurisdiction where interest-based advertising cookies are operative, you can opt out at the industry-coalition level through the following cross-coalition tools:
- Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA, U.S.): https://optout.aboutads.info
- Network Advertising Initiative (NAI): https://optout.networkadvertising.org
- DAA AppChoices (mobile): https://youradchoices.com/appchoices
- European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EDAA): https://www.youronlinechoices.eu
These tools are operated by third-party industry bodies and apply at the device/browser level. Their effectiveness depends on the cookies and ad networks active on your device. For a Shadow Pages-specific opt-out of any “sale” or “sharing,” use /do-not-sell.
7. Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control
We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC)signals as a valid opt-out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under the CCPA/CPRA and as an opt-out of targeted advertising under equivalent U.S. state laws, for the device or browser sending the signal. Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not currently a consistent industry standard and we therefore do not respond to them as a primary signal; consent recorded via our banner and any GPC signal take precedence.
8. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
